Dalam rangka menjawab kebutuhan masyarakat serta memperluas layanan pendidikan, STIKes Al Insyirah Pekanbaru resmi berubah bentuk dari Sekolah Tinggi Kesehatan menjadi Institut Kesehatan dan Teknologi Al Insyirah atau yang disingkat dengan IKTA. Surat keputusan perubahan bentuk diterima langsung pada hari Jum’at (13/01) dengan nomor surat 939 /E/O/2022 tanggal 29 Desember 2022.
Acara serah terima surat keputusan perubahan bentuk tersebut dilaksanakan diruang pertemuan Lembaga Layanan Pendidikan Tinggi (LLDIKTI) Wilayah X yang diserahkan langsung oleh Kepala LLDIKTI Wilayah X, Afdalisma, SH, M.Pd. dan diterima langsung oleh Yayasan Al Insyirah Dr. Surya Maulana serta didampingi oleh Ketua tim Perubahan Bentuk, Dr. Ns. Hj. Rifa Yanti, S.Kep. M.Biomed.
Perubahan bentuk menjadi IKTA merupakan cita-cita bersama Al Insyirah yang tertuang dalam pengembangan institusi. Menurut data perguruan tinggi, Institut Kesehatan dan Teknologi Al Insyirah merupakan satu-satunya Institut Kesehatan dan Teknologi di Provinsi Riau.
Dalam acara penyerahan surat keputusan tersebut, Dr. Surya mewakili Yayasan Al Insyirah menyampaikan apresiasi atas kerja bersama sehingga mimpi menjadi Institut dapat terwujud.
“Alhamdulillah, hari ini kami merasa bahagia karena perubahan bentuk menjadi Institut adalah mimpi kami sejak lama, sehingga perubahan sekolah tinggi menjadi Institut dapat memperluas jaringan layanan pendidikan oleh IKTA dikemudian hari” ujar Dr. Surya
Pada kesempatan yang sama, Ketua Tim Perubahan bentuk, Dr. Rifa juga menyampaikan bahwa perubahan bentuk merupakan harapan Al Insyirah untuk bisa memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat Riau.
“IKTA merupakan Institut Kesehatan dan Teknologi satu-satunya di Provinsi Riau, harapannya bisa menjadi ikon baru untuk Riau terlebih untuk pengembangan dunia kesehatan dan teknologi” ujar Dr. Rifa.
Setelah sukses melakukan perubahan bentuk, kedepannya IKTA akan terus melakukan pengembangan terutama untuk membuka program studi baru yang dibutuhkan oleh masyarakat di Provinsi Riau.
